As always, Dennis makes a convincing, logical and rational case for his views while considering and debating opposing viewpoints. I especially appreciate the format of Q & A. This book should be required reading for everyone from about age 16 up.

I have read and listened to Dennis Prager since he first appeared on the radio with "Religion on the Line." I liked that he wanted to draw-out the leaders of the various religions and non-religious representatives he had on. With this book, he directs his attention, I believe, to those who are not active in a particular faith or a Higher Power that judges us but believe that personal beliefs can direct people to do good, to do, "what it right." I have studied enough history and human behavior to know that even a person who is a follower of a faith can justify doing evil if he believes it will befit him or his faith even when its teaching says otherwise. After-all, the person who robs a store, doesn't think they are doing evil, but think "I really like those tennis shoes and, hey, his insurance company will pay him back." Or, I'm hungry so it's ok for me to steal some food, or rob this person so I can get food, or maybe the drugs I crave." They don't think they are doing evil. We must truly believe that there is a Higher Power, no matter what we call him, that teaches us to do what is right and good and that we will be held accountable in our afterlife for our actions in this life. The torah teaches us that G-D said," I set before you goodness and evil, life and death. Choose goodness and life." I do not believe it means just life on earth but how we will experience our life in the hereafter. It doesn't say except if you think it's okay. Thank you Dennis for another masterful piece. Without a belief in a Higher Power that judges us, our actions are just personal opinions and guided only by what we believe will benefit us here and now.

Ayn Rand was a powerful force in the understading of capitalism. She was a philosopher who understood and explained the importance of self-reliance. She helped lead a movement against socialism, communism, and other forms of government that suppressed the body, mind, and spirit.
