The information and formatting are top notch. Great introduction to these explorers. Didn't give it 5 stars because the book arrived with a loose spine and warped cover. I should have asked for a replacement. Unfortunately, I have waited too long and the return window has closed.

I would buy all PragerU books if I had the money. History is so important to know and repeat the good, while avoiding the unhelpful or worse.
This book has beautifully illustrated true stories about early frontiersmen in America, like Daniel Boone, Johnny Appleseed, and Davy Crockett, who made a crucial difference in helping build the United States of America into a great nation. Middle-schoolers who can read at grade level would be able to easily understand the stories and find them engaging. My husband and I, as older adults with grandchildren, found the entire book engaging ourselves -- and we learned many things we didn't know. We gave a copy of this book to our daughter and son so they can share these stories with their children. We highly recommend this book.
