Your 2026 Summer Reading List

America turned 250 this July 4. Celebrate with a great book in your kid's hands. We've gathered our favorite PragerU Kids titles for summer, sorted by grade level from board books to teen page-turners, with brand-new releases and gift-worthy hardcovers throughout.

Pre-K – 3rd Grade

Story Time Starts Here

Instill timeless American values in your little ones. Read along with Dennis, Otto the bulldog, and Smidge the kitten in the Otto's Tales series, then keep going with our durable ABCs of America board book, The 10 Commandments, and the new America's Favorite Music Show Songbook, all made for summer story time.

3rd – 6th Grade

Real Heroes & Page-Turners

These are the years kids start reading on their own. Hook reluctant readers with The Signers graphic novel and the fast-paced Chronicles of Jonathan Spencer, then introduce the real American heroes: Trailblazers of America, our founding presidents, and Women of Valor, too often forgotten or mischaracterized in classrooms today.

6th Grade & Up

Big Questions, Real Answers

Help middle and high school students understand what makes America unique. The Around the World series takes readers abroad to see life without freedom firsthand, from socialism to censorship, while The Signers graphic novel brings the Declaration of Independence, and the brave men who signed it, to life.

Make It a Tradition

Some books are meant to be read together. An American Tradition: The Independence Day Ceremony is a keepsake hardcover for every age, the perfect family read-aloud for the Fourth of July and America's 250th birthday. Gather everyone and start a tradition of your own.
